Archetypal
Patterns in the Psyche
Portland, Oregon
Perhaps C.G. Jung's greatest discovery was the presence of innate
ordering processes within the human psyche. Originally
his approach to psyche was reserved for the practice of psychotherapy.
However, as discoveries from the new sciences confirm and
elaborate many of Jung's ideas about the psyche, we find his work
receiving a warm reception and application in fields as diverse
as psychotherapy, traditional and complementary medicine, the
arts, sciences, organizational consultation, education, and theology.
In this seminar we examine the presence, nature and meaning of archetypal patterns. Illustrations from clinical and organizational domains and film will enhance our understanding and help us learn to make appropriate interventions, so that we can establish an individual response to these universal patterns.
This
seminar is open to clinicians, organizational consultants, graduate
students, and interested laypersons.
