John Beebe, M.D. a Jungian analyst and psychiatrist in practice in San Francisco, is a past President of the C. G. Jung Institute of San Francisco. An internationally recognized clinical teacher of Jungian psychology, he has lectured on topics related to analytical psychology throughout the United States and in Europe, and his writings have appeared in the Chiron Clinical Series, The Journal of AnalyticalPsychology, Psychological Perspectives and several books. Dr. Beebe is the author of the book Integrity in Depth, a study of the archetype of moral wholeness. A recognized film critic, John frequently draws upon American movies to illustrate how the various types of consciousness interact to produce the stories of our lives that Jung called individuation.
MICHAEL CONFORTI, Ph.D. is a pioneer in the field of matter-psyche studies. He is Founder and Director of the Assisi Institute, a Jungian analyst, and has taught at the C.G. Jung Institute-Boston, and the C.G. Jung Foundation of New York. Dr. Conforti lectures widely in the U.S. and abroad, including in Italy, Denmark, the Caribbean, Canada, Venezuela, and at the C.G. Jung Institute-Zurich. In addition to his clinical practice, he consults to organizations including the film industry, helping to identify archetypal patterns.
GREGORY O'CONNOR, B.A. is a film and television producer and co-founder of Solaris, one of the fastest-growing independent film and television companies. His debut film, Tumbleweeds was the winner of the prestigious Filmmaker’s Trophy at the 1999 Sundance Film Festival. In 2003 he produced the Disney feature Miracle, starring Kurt Russell. MARC JACOBY, Ph.D. is a Senior Training Analyst. He was with the C.G. Jung Institute-Zürich until 2004, and now is a lecturer as well as Training and Supervisory analyst for ISAPZH (International Seminar for Analytical Psychology, Zurich). As a member of the early generation of Jungian analysts, Dr. Jacoby is actively involved in clinical training, and is much in demand as a supervisor and lecturer in Europe and the United States. He has authored many books and articles, including Longing for Paradise:Shame, Individuation, and Narcissism, and Jungian Psychotherapy and Contemporary Infant Research. Prior to his analytic career, he performed internationally as a classical musician.
BEVERLY RUBIK, Ph.D. is world renowned for exploring healing, and has published over 60 papers and two books. She has served as faculty member at several major universities, and is Founder and Director of the non-profit Institute for Frontier Science (IFS). Dr. Rubik serves on several editorial boards, including the Journal of Alternative & Complementary Medicine and Integrative Medicine Insights. She has served on the advisory boards to the Office of Alternative Medicine at NIH, where she chaired panels on energy medicine and hands-on healing, and to the Program in Integrative Medicine at University of Arizona under Dr. Andrew Weil. THERESE SCHROEDER-SHEKER, Ph.D. is an Emmy-winning artist, an accomplished harpist, singer, and composer, and the creator of the field of Music Thanatology. She is also Founder and Director of the Chalice of Repose Project, serving the physical and spiritual needs of the dying through prescriptive music. Ms. Schroeder-Sheker authored the forthcoming book on music and dying, The Luminous Wound.
RABBI ZALMAN SCHACHTER-SHALOMI is recognized as one of the outstanding teachers of contemporary religious thought, and a Talmudic master and major figure in the Jewish spiritual movement. Born in Poland, he fled the Nazi advance by coming to the United States in 1941. He has been a professor of Religion at the University of Manitoba and Temple University for over 30 years, and holds the World Wisdom Seat at Naropa Institute. He is Founder and Director of the Spiritual Eldering Institute, and author of From Aging to Sage-ing.
